This recognised our 10yrs of continued Ecotourism Australia https://www.ecotourism.org.au/ certification. We continue our dedication to excellence in delivering sustainable tourism experiences.

Our tourism-based experiences operate in a wonderful marine environment here in Broome. We have taken pride in ensuring our business operates with utmost respect towards our natural environment, both today and into the future.

Our vision is ‘The Ocean is Yours!’ In other words, we must look after, care and nurture the ocean and all things living in this amazing eco system. At the same time, the ocean is yours to also enjoy, revel in and be amazed by its charm and beauty. Providing guests with informative and educational marine-based experiences, combined with our conscious efforts to improve our operational standards is paramount. Being eco certified is our constant reminder to continue doing our very best.

Sustainability Commitment

The significance of eco certification is incredibly important to us here at AOC.

Our tourism-based experiences operate in our truly wonderful marine environment here in Broome. We have taken great pride in ensuring our business operates with utmost respect towards our natural environment, both today and into the future. Our vision is ‘The Ocean is Yours!’. In other words, we must look after, care and nurture the ocean and all things living in this amazing eco system. Yet, the ocean is yours to also enjoy, revel in and be amazed by its charm and beauty. Providing guests with informative and educational marine-based experiences, combined with our conscious efforts to constantly improve our operational standards is paramount.

Being eco certified is our constant reminder to continue doing our very best. There are several sustainability initiatives we’re proud of.

From the desalination water treatment plant on-board our vessel, our almost completely paperless office, the use of globally recognised sustainable squid and by-catch bait only for our fishing charters, the regular support to local charities, schools and sporting clubs, donating the ‘cans for change’ recycling funds to local groups in need, installing the very best generators and motors in the vessel to minimise emissions, using recyclable kitchen ware on-board, buying local and providing housing for seasonal staff etc. But perhaps the most-proud initiative is our unwavering commitment to employ a qualified marine biologist every season who guides every wildlife cruise, and our dedication in training all our team exceptionally well so that everyone works harmoniously across all facets of the business with respect and authenticity.
