She was built new by Legend boats in 2005 and modified for charter and relaunched in November 2012. She is a 20m monohull cruiser of aluminium construction with a beam of 6m. Designed with a keel and raised wheelhouse, she is at home on the open ocean and easily capable of handling a wide variety of weather conditions. This hull gives a very stable platform at rest and dry comfortable ride while underway.
The massive 60 square meter main deck is shaded 3/4 of the way and has 2 large daybeds for seating or lounging. There is tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of eskies to keep those refreshments cold and storage areas to keep you gear dry. There is a full size toilet /shower and hand washing facilities.
Upstairs in the raised wheelhouse you will find a helm that is fitted out with the latest, most advanced electronics package available. Electronics include Furuno sounders and radar, Maxsea computer plotters with 3D bottom imaging, auto pilot, HF and VHF radios and Satellite Phone in case of emergency. Also located in the wheelhouse is a dinette with seating for 4 and a galley with cook top, fridge, convection oven and most of the conveniences of your kitchen at home.
Downstairs under the wheelhouse there is accommodation with 5 bunks, another dinette with seating for 4, another fridge/ freezer and a TV/ DVD player.
‘Contessa C’ is powered by a 1300hp V12 Caterpillar engine; she has a top speed of 28 knots and a cruise speed of 20 knots. This is a very fast cruising speed for a vessel of this size and the powerful 1300hp engine gets you to and from the fishing grounds quickly, maximising your fishing time.
‘JayBee’ will take you on your Creek Fishing adventure or transfer to you to the ‘Contessa C’.
Launched in 2011 this open boat is a Polycraft powered by a 60hp ETEC outboard. This 4.5 m vessel was designed specifically to access the shallow water ways and creeks systems of the Kimberley, getting you right up the back of the estuarine creeks where the fish and mud crabs are bitting.
Electronics include a Lowrance GPS Plotter/ sounder combo.
