Absolute Ocean Charters welcomes you to come aboard ‘Utopia’ for a fantastic day fishing the turquoise waters of Broome. Take advantage of one of the fastest vessels in Broome to explore the vast, plentiful fishing grounds and let us show you the best spots to catch that “once in a life time” fish.
Beginning with a free pickup service from your accommodation around 7.30am, we will board 'Utopia' and head out to the productive fishing grounds. Here you can expect to catch a variety of species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Blue Lined Emperor, Blue Bone, Golden Snapper, Cod, Giant Trevally & Golden Trevally. Throughout the day we will also spend sometime trolling lures for Spanish Mackerel & Tuna.
A delicious morning tea & refreshing gourmet lunch of cold meats, salad and fresh rolls will be served amid fishing, before returning to Broome around 3pm. You will then be transferred back to your accommodation with your catch.
Absolute Ocean Charters also offer a Half Day Reef Fishing tour beginning around 730am and returning at midday.
We provide high quality Shimano and Fin-Nor reels loaded with braided line. These are attached to the sensitive yet strong Penn rods. All outfits are rigged with high quality leader and hooks, giving you the best chance to catch and land the big one. You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you wish.
Throughout the day you can help yourself to tea, coffee, bottled water and soft drinks. We also provide snacks, sun screen, rod buckets, hand towels, catch bags and great company!
We recommend you bring your camera, a hat and wear appropriate clothing. If you do require sea sick medication, please bring that along also.
BYO alcohol – an esky and ice is provided to keep your drinks cold.
Don’t despair if you forget your camera, our staff will take digital photos of your catch and will email to you shortly after the charter.
Beginner or expert, our highly trained and very experienced staff is always on hand to help you enjoy your day. We will clean your catch and pack it straight on ice to give you the best quality fish to take home. All undersize or unwanted fish are immediately returned to the water to increase survival rates and promote sustainability of fisheries.
‘Utopia’ is surveyed to take 20 passengers but to ensure comfortable fishing space we fish a maximum of 10 people at a time. ‘Utopia’ provides a huge shaded deck for a vessel this size which allows plenty of elbow room to reel in the big one. The powerful 310hp engines get you to and from the fishing grounds quickly, giving you maximum fishing time. Electronic fish finding equipment fitted to the vessel is of the highest quality to make sure you are on the most productive fishing ground. There is a full size toilet/shower onboard, air conditioned wheelhouse and plenty of sitting room to relax and soak up the beautiful environment.
