UTOPIA was purpose built for charter and launched in Fremantle WA in May 1995. She is a 12m monohull flybridge cruiser of aluminium construction with a beam of 4.1m. Designed with a very shallow draft, she is easily able to access the shallow waters of the Kimberley, Mandurah canals and bays of Rottnest Island.
The main deck consists of an air conditioned wheelhouse with comfortable seating, a TV, DVD and stereo to keep you entertained. There are bunks in the V berth for those who enjoy a midday nap. Utopia has a privately enclosed toilet and fresh water shower. The large open plan rear deck is fully shaded, carpeted and has comfortable seating. A large BBQ and small galley area allow for on board food preparation by the crew.
Upstairs on the flybridge is a large daybed to kick back on and enjoy the magnificent view.
UTOPIA is powered by twin D6 Volvo Penta 310hp engines, she has a top speed of 30 knots and a cruise speed of 24 knots.
240V power comes from a 9kva Kubota generator.
Top of the range electronics include Furuno GPS Plotters, sounders and radar. She has an auto pilot, HF and VHF marine radios. |
